Ship's log

Done! Fleur de Passion safely docked at the Royal Cape Yacht Club on 14th Friday 2018 early morning, putting an end to her 2-month navigation from Durban. The winds conditions were good, which is not always the case in this season of the year. That was one of the critical parameters. And after a visual assessment on site by Pietro the skipper and his first mate Sebastien the day before, while Fleur had temporarily berthed at V&A Waterfront, the boat smoothly sneaked her way through the narrow channels of the marina and reached her assign pontoon with the help to the club’s personal.

Thanks to RCYC for its warm welcome. And well done to the crew!

Moment of a life time for the expedition: Fleur de Passion passed the Cape of Good Hope on Tuesday 11 December 2018 in the middle of the day. The rocky promontory was lost in the mist and, no matter the contrast, it is a "new passenger », Happy Lilly, who immortalized the moment by taking the pose, adding to the "Swiss touch" of the expedition... A nod to House of Switzerland for its support!

On this Wednesday, December 12, the boat anchored for a few hours at Hout Bay before arriving at another cape, Cape Town, after five hours of navigation in what is already the Atlantic Ocean, for two months of stopover.

After seven days of navigation from Singapore, Fleur de Passion arrived in Jakarta as planned on 2 April 2018 and anchored off Marina Batavia, as too shallow waters in the marina don’t make it possible to berth at a pontoon. More to come soon.
